Playbook

For parents

What Playbook stores about your player, who can see it, and how to have it removed.

Your player's coach uses Playbook to draw up plays and share them with the team. If they've invited your player to their own login, you probably want to know what that means. Here is the whole of it, in plain terms.

What we store

That is the complete list. There is nowhere in Playbook to enter a date of birth, a home address, a phone number, a grade, a school ID, medical or academic information, or a photograph — not because we choose not to ask, but because those fields do not exist in the app.

We do not track location. There is no GPS, no attendance tracking, and no analytics following your player around the internet.

Who can see it

What it is never used for

We do not sell personal information. We do not run advertising. We do not build profiles, and we do not use your player's name, work, or results to train any AI system. Playbook makes money one way: coaches pay a subscription.

There is no messaging

This is worth stating on its own, because it is usually the first thing a parent worries about with team software. Playbook has no chat, no direct messages, and no comments — not between a coach and a player, and not between players. There is no compose box anywhere in the app. A coach can push a play or a schedule to the team, and a player can mark it seen or tap a reaction. That is the entire range of what can be sent, in one direction only.

How your player got an account

Only by invitation. Nobody can sign themselves up as a player, and we never contact a player directly to ask them to join. A coach adds a name to their roster and sends an invitation link. If your player is under 13, the coach or program is responsible for having your consent before sending it — if you did not give consent and received one anyway, tell the coach, and tell us.

Having it removed

Ask the coach to remove your player from the roster and it is gone from the team. If you would rather deal with us directly, or you want their account and quiz history deleted entirely, write to privacy@playbook.example and we will do it — you do not need to explain why, and you do not need the coach's permission.

You are also welcome to ask us what we hold about your player, and we will tell you.
