These terms govern your use of Playbook, operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]. Creating an account means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a school, club, or program, you are confirming you have the authority to bind that organization.
Who can use Playbook
You need to be 18 or older to open a coach account. Player accounts are different: they exist only by invitation from a coach, and the inviting coach or organization is responsible for having the right to invite that player — including obtaining parental consent where the player is a minor.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. What happens under your account is your responsibility. Do not share one login across a staff — invite each coach their own, which is what the seats on your plan are for.
Plans and payment
- Free costs nothing and is capped at 20 active plays and one playbook.
- Paid plans run from $96 to $840 a year, or monthly at a higher rate, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Changing plans mid-term prorates the difference rather than charging you twice.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings, in two clicks. You keep your plan through the end of the period you have already paid for. Our full cancellation and refund policy is at /refunds.
Price lock: the price you sign up at stays yours while your subscription stays active. If we raise prices, that applies to new signups. Changing plans moves you to that plan's current price, and cancelling and returning later starts you at the price then.
If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until it succeeds. We will not delete your content for non-payment.
Your content is yours
The plays you draw, the scripts you write, your roster, and everything else you put into Playbook remain yours. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, process it, and display it back to you and the people on your team you have shared it with. We do not claim ownership, we do not use your playbook for our own purposes, and we do not use it to train models.
The shared library
If you submit a play to the shared library, you are doing something different and deliberate: you are offering it to every other coach on Playbook. By submitting, you confirm the play is yours to share and you grant other users a perpetual, royalty-free right to view it and copy it into their own playbooks. Submissions are reviewed before they appear, and we may decline or remove any submission. You can withdraw a submission while it is still pending review; once it is approved and other coaches have copied it, those copies are theirs.
Acceptable use
Do not use Playbook to break the law, to upload content you have no right to, to harass anyone, to attempt to reach another team's data, to probe or disrupt the service, or to resell access. Do not upload video or audio of a minor without the consent of their parent or guardian.
Playbook has no messaging: there is no way to send a freeform message to a player or another coach, by design. Deliveries are one-way alerts referencing content you already own, and players may only view, acknowledge, and react.
Availability
We work to keep Playbook up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, add, or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you and you may cancel for a refund of the unused portion of your term.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Playbook and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other users at risk. If we close your account for a reason other than a breach by you, we refund the unused portion of your term.
Disclaimers and liability
Playbook is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including lost games.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use Playbook afterwards means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction.
