No phone call, no retention script, no email to a support address to beg for it. You cancel from inside the app in two clicks, and the button is on the same screen you subscribed from.
How to cancel
- Open Settings.
- In the Billing section, choose Cancel subscription. That takes you straight to the confirmation page — not to a menu you have to hunt through.
- Confirm. That's it.
What happens next
- You keep your plan through the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling on day two of a year does not switch anything off on day two.
- At the end of that period the team drops to Free, which keeps the play designer, tagging, and the shared library.
- Nothing is deleted. Your plays, call sheets, practice scripts, and scouting reports stay where they are.
- Free is capped at 20 active plays and one playbook. If you are over the cap you keep everything you have — you simply cannot add a 21st play until you archive one, and archiving does not delete anything.
- Resubscribe whenever you like and the caps lift again.
Refunds
We do not automatically refund the unused part of a term, because you keep access for the whole of it. Two cases where we do refund:
- If we materially reduce what your paid plan includes during a term you have already paid for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused portion.
- If we close your account for a reason other than a breach of the terms by you, we refund the unused portion.
Beyond that, we would rather sort out a genuine problem than argue about a policy. If you were charged for something you did not mean to buy, subscribed twice, or hit a bug that cost you the season's use of a feature, write to support@playbook.example and tell us what happened. We would much rather you email us than file a chargeback — a chargeback closes your account automatically, which helps nobody.
Changing plans
Moving up or down mid-term is prorated: you are credited for what you have not used on the old plan and charged the difference, rather than paying twice. Change plans from the same Billing section.
Plans run from $96 a year for a single coach to $840 for a whole program, with monthly options at a higher rate.
Your price is locked
The price you sign up at stays yours for as long as your subscription stays active. If we raise prices later, that is for new signups — you will not get a renewal increase.
Two honest limits on that: changing plans moves you to the new plan's current price, and if you cancel outright and come back later you start again at whatever the price is then.
Failed payments
If a card fails we may suspend paid features until it goes through. We will not delete your content over an unpaid invoice.
Free trials
There is no trial to forget to cancel, because the Free plan is not a trial — it does not expire and it does not ask for a card. Use it as long as you like and subscribe when the caps start to bite.
