Tags and filtering

What the dimensions mean, and why tagging is worth the minute it costs.

A tag dimension is one question about a play. A tag value is an answer. Down is a dimension; 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th are its values. Every play can carry values from as many dimensions as apply.

The system dimensions are there from day one, but most start empty on purpose — your situational language is yours. Add the values you actually say out loud on Tags.

Finding plays again

The Plays list filters by side, type, formation faced, and situation. For anything else — including dimensions you invented yourself — use Filter by any tag, which filters across every dimension at once.

Tagging pays for itself three times: filtering the library, auto-filling call sheets, and the self-scout report. An untagged play only ever does the first thing a play does.
